The term third place is often used to refer to somewhere we frequent that’s not home nor work, where people feel connected to a community or shared interest and can show up with little to no obligation. Whether it’s the local bar, where everyone knows your name, or a community center or library, a key component of a third place is somewhere where you can relax in public and connect with regulars and make new acquaintances.
