The power of a parent

It’s remarkable how a child observing their parent loving where they live or what they do can positively impact the ties to a community. Anecdotally, it seems that people who grow up in rural communities and see their parents thriving there, are more likely to return. Parents play a key part in shaping the perception and helping children see the opportunity to be rural by choice. How did your family model rural pride for you?
