I'm an independent Artist and Educator, exploring the quirky, creative, innovative, and just plain awesome things that exist between normally defined worlds. Art made by non-artists, houses that move, buildings shaped like elephants. I'm also a lover of bacon (both the food and the artist), road trips, high-falutin' art talks, gravel roads, coyotes, and tigers.I do quirky public art projects (giant slabs of bacon, floating over an arts festival) and fun workshops (SPAM carving, grilling, and eating), advocate for my profession, lecture across the country, and catalogue World's Largest Things as a part of my 501(c)3 devoted to the task I also make a mean batch of toffee. |

Hi there! My name is Liz and I'm a 29 year old PowerUp residing in Garden City in southwest Kansas. My life is a whirlwind including working as General Manager of Inkt Graphics, a multi-media custom graphic design and printing firm (www.inktgraphics.com), owner of Epitome Enterprises, a business development and training entrepreneurial effort, and working on a variety of local and statewide committees and foundations. In addition, I am one of the two official PowerUp Liaisons (see Erika Nelson's profile for information on the other Liaison) and work with an amazing group of rural-based young professionals who collectively form the PowerUp Advisory Committee. I am also very excited to be participating in the 2011 Kansas Leadership Class and am also a candidate in the upcoming Garden City Commission race. In my "spare" time, I'm an avid reader, golfer and lover of food. The PowerUp Movement is a truly exciting venture and I'm thrilled to be along for the journey! |

I'm the director of the Kansas Sampler Foundation and, yes, I'm beyond PowerUp age range but I'm highly interested in watching how this all involves. PowerUps, I believe in you.Marci is a PowerOn and glad to respond to PowerUps or PowerOns. |
